Spaceball 5000

This innovative 3D navigator allows you to intuitively manipulate 3D models and camera angles as though they were actual objects in the real world. Eliminating the need for extra mouse clicks or keystrokes, SpaceBall® 5000 provides a continuous, uninterrupted flow as you navigate your design. Not only does the SpaceBall® 5000 free you to zoom, pan and rotate your models with effortless control, this tool can also help with early detection of design errors. You can be more creative with your designs and easily accomplish previously difficult manoeuvres in far less time. By streamlining the design process, SpaceBall® 5000 will reduce your overall design costs.

The controller's ball senses pressure applied and uses the information to move your model, camera or eye point on the screen accordingly. For example if you pull or push the ball the model will move the model in the direction your chose or move it closer to you or further away based on gentle finger movement. You can also orient your model by twisting the ball in any direction to rotate the model around the X, Y or Z axis (pitch, roll, yaw). Your models can be controlled within six degrees of freedom. The speed of movement is controlled by the amount of pressure you apply. SpaceBall® 5000 gives you the sensation that you are holding and moving your 3D model in your hands.

Wacom Cintiq Interactive Pen

This unique product combines the advantages of an LCD monitor with the control, comfort, and productivity of Wacom's patented pressure-sensitive tablet technology. The pen is applied directly to the screen, allowing designers to take advantage of their natural hand-eye coordination. This means you will work more quickly and intuitively in any software application and the Cintiq will work seamlessly with your existing mouse or Wacom tablet. A Cintiq interactive pen display provides the natural feel and creative freedom associated with working directly on paper while offering the benefits of a paperless workflow. As an architect, engineer or technical designer you will find that working directly on the Cintiq screen is a fast, easy and comfortable way to sketch, draw, trace, and redline documents. Using a Cintiq you can now naturally create a sketch right on your computer and then quickly move through 2D layout and on to 3D modelling. Then using the latest 3D paint applications, you can expedite 3D visualisation to more quickly get to the next level of approval.

Wacom's Cintiq interactive pen displays are an ideal way to work with sophisticated control interfaces consisting of menus, dials, sliders, and static or dynamic icons. Because a Cintiq allows you to use the pen directly on the display, you are able to comfortably work in a natural and highly precise manner for maximum efficiency.

Cintiq supports most workstation class platforms including Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows NT4, Mac OS X, SGI / IRIX and Sun Solaris.
