CONCENTRIC announces latest addition to LMS Technology Portfolio: LMS
Imagine.Lab
SYDNEY. April 7 2008. CONCENTRIC Asia Pacific Pty Ltd, the leading provider of design-engineering-manufacturing-analysis-visualisation-simulation technology solutions and knowledge based services to the Australia-New Zealand-South Asia Pacific region, has announced the arrival of the unique "1D simulation" solution, LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim.
LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim joins LMS Virtual.Lab, LMS Track.Test and OPTIMUS which have been available in Australia-New Zealand via CONCENTRIC for several years.
LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim is unique in its ability to reproduce multi-domain system simulation in a 1D environment. It is a mechatronic systems simulation/analysis tool.
CONCENTRIC Managing Director Michael Myers says, "whilst LMS Virtual.Lab, with its complex 3D capabilities, is perfect for providing analysis models quickly and effectively for highly developed engineering environments, the ability to produce 1D outcomes makes LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim highly pervasive across a much broader range of engineering industries."
LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers a complete 1D simulation suite to model and analyse multi-domain, intelligent systems and to predict their multi-disciplinary performance. The components of the model are described by analytical models representing the hydraulic, pneumatic, electric or mechanical behaviour of the system.
"The LMS Imagine. Lab AMESim user has access to a large set of validated libraries of pre-defined components from different physical domains. They are able to create a physics based model of the system which does not require full 3D geometry representation. This approach gives LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim the capability to simulate the behaviour of intelligent systems long before detailed CAD geometry becomes available", he adds.
Boris Marrone, Channel Manager South-East Asia-Pacific at LMS International, the Belgium-based leaders in engineering analysis technology comments,
"LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim perfectly complements Concentric's existing simulation product offering, which includes LMS Virtual.Lab, LMS Optimus and LMS Tec.Manager. Mechatronic system engineering has become a key development concern through the increased use of electrical and electronic systems in automotive, aerospace and other mechanical applications. LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim is the first product in this domain to integrate multiple technologies and mathematic routines into an integrated solution, which not only saves time and effort but also delivers higher quality simulation results. As an accredited LMS reseller, CONCENTRIC puts us in an ideal position to support new and existing LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim customers."
LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim has been adopted as the preferred 1D system simulation platform by major OEMs and suppliers in the automotive, aerospace and mechanical industries worldwide. The reference list include companies like General Motors, Toyota, Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Bosch, Siemens, Delphi, Airbus, Embraer, Dassault, Snecma, Caterpillar and Komatsu.
Users create models by using a large library of validated and pre-defined components. In addition to these libraries, they can develop and extend their own libraries by creating new models and sub models. LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim offers the capability to create and publish ready-to-use catalogues of component models, while protecting intellectual property.
A run-only version of the software is also available for users who simply want to run a packaged simulation model to analyse and visualise different design alternatives.
Webex sessions commencing in April to introduce new technology
In conjunction with the availability of LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, CONCENTRIC has announced that a series of free online Webex sessions are about to commence which will help engineers and manufacturers understand the unique benefits of this product.
The first session is entitled "Introduction to multi-domain system simulation in LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim" which will be held on April 8th at 4PM.
Sign-on registration is available at www.concentric.com.au/eventscentral/
Attendees of this presentation will learn about Multi-Domain System Simulation, the LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim suite, and view a live demonstration highlighting the multi-domain (electrical, mechanical and fluids) and multi-level approach (component design, system design, control design).
Other sessions will include:
April 9 4PM
Engineering of automotive systems
May 7 4PM
repeat of Introduction to multi-domain system simulation
May 14 4PM
Simulation of complete Vehicle Thermal Management
June 4 4PM
repeat of Introduction to multi-domain system simulation
June 10 4PM
Defence and Off Road Industry
July 9 4PM
