RSS
Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0) is a web feed format used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines and podcasts.
An RSS document (which is called a 'feed' or 'web feed' or 'channel') contains a summary of content from an associated website. RSS makes it possible for users to keep up-to-date with websites in an automated manner that can be piped into an email application or web browser.
Users subscribe to a feed by entering the feed's link into an email application or web browser or by clicking on the RSS icon (as pictured on the right).
