EventsCentral - Motion Capture with Haption Technology

Overview

Through a co-operation with the French research agency CEA for customers like PSA Peugeot Citroën, EADS, Volkswagen, Toyota, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Dassault Aviation and other industrial users worldwide, the company Haption developed a software solution combined with a patented 6D force-feedback virtual reality technology to address the issues of product validation and model development time.

Whether you're designing, simulating or animating, Haption offers solutions to help you work more efficiently within your own software (Catia, Delmia, SolidWorks, Virtools, and ICIDO). Haption's virtual reality solutions range in size and complexity, from desktop devices to large-scale interactive immersive environments.

The technology offers many capabilities, which will be demonstrated live at the workshop:

  • Real-time collision detection using force-feedback
  • Human motion capture using motion tracking hardware
  • Finger tracking
  • Techviz
  • Head tracking
