Optimize the noise, vibration and fatigue performance of mechanical systems for industrial, energy, consumer and automotive applications with simulation and test methodologies from LMS.
Today engineers must develop products ever faster to meet demanding time-to-market and return-on-investment objectives. Different and often contradictory design requirements like performance, weight, and cost must be balanced to achieve an optimal final design, which satisfies not only customer expectations but internal business objectives.
Such demanding requirements require an efficient development strategy – a strategy which utilizes up-front simulation tools to optimize prototypes early in the design cycle for noise, vibration and fatigue performance as well as test methodologies for collecting actual load data for pinpointing noise and vibration sources or driving durability testing and fatigue analyses.
By providing simulation and test tools together with in-depth application know-how and experience, LMS helps engineering development groups meet design targets quickly with higher quality and less cost.
Presenter: Frank Vossen
LMS International, Belgium
Frank Vossen, having 15 years experience at LMS in business development and pre- and post- sales services, is currently responsible for the CAE and Test Team based in Belgium. He has a background in N&V testing and analysis in different application domains gathered throughout the years and over different continents. He started at LMS in the early 90's and has acquired the appropriate knowledge about hybrid engineering as he has witnessed very closely the different growth stages LMS has gone through.
Who should attend?
- Design and Development Engineers Responsible for the development of technical products for industrial, energy, consumer, and automotive markets and want to know how to integrate both simulation and test tools to optimize conflicting design requirements
- Development Team Leaders and Project Engineers Responsible for project completion and want to know how to implement simulation and test methodologies to reach time-to-market and return-on-investment targets
- Simulation and Test Engineers Specialists who want to learn about the latest simulation and test technologies in the areas of dynamics, fatigue, noise, and vibration
What do attendees learn?
- Up-Front Design Optimization How to optimize designs early in the development cycle before testing begins with software tools that simulate both dynamic and fatigue as well as noise and vibration performance
- "Source-Transmission-Receiver" Methodology Standard LMS techniques for the efficient pinpointing of root noise and vibration causes and collection of load test data for fatigue analyses
- Hybrid Simulation/Test Techniques Combine the "best" of modern simulation and test tools for design optimization and trouble-shooting activities
